Pros and cons of SuperMemo (old) app for iPhone and iPad

SuperMemo (old) app good for

Since i meet this application, i never sease to progress in english. I learnt about 2000 english words in four month This application is very powerful and amazing !
Brilliant app. Lots of info online about the scientific study behind the algorithm spaced repetitions. Simple to create your own courses and sync them with supermemo.net. Plenty of info for this too. Some decent shared courses available. I have tried some of the paid for vocabulary for French, which are good. NB they are actually rented for three months not bought. Look out for specials on the app store because the full price would be really stretching the friendship.
Very good application but the design should be changed: text is sometime unreadable (Grey font on -almost, grey background...) For the rest... I use it since months for TOEFLE english and, I must admit, I dont forget words ;o)
I actually learn English grammar and its awesome. I do any effort when I work on it
Its idea is similar to the original SuperMemo for Pc, but with a more intuitive interface. Ive been using it for learning english for about a year now and it is the app I use the most. I have both created my own material and bought some courses. And despite some comments, theres a lot of free courses to download. Now that the sync process works for all the courses, the app is almost perfect! I still miss some of the statistics the original Supermemo for Pc gives you, though. Great job!
One of the best App. for learning stuff. But I do not understand, why it is so difficult to create an iPad HD version!

Some bad moments

Probably the very worst app I ve bought to learn Russian. Characters are tiny. But worst of all: no audio, so you have no idea of the pronunciation. A buy-and-throw-away app !
This program is a complete commercialization of what is personalizable software on the internet. You can only use their pre-loaded, for-sale decks, and cant create your own. Its really useless unless you want their pre-fab content, but those of us who have been using supermemo, anki and mnemosyn on the internet are used to the power of creating our own decks. Im still waiting for a real freeware or paid memory app with that customization available - skip this one for now.
On the brainscape app users can review notes a much as they want, on supermemo you may only practise or tested on days listed
All your learning progress will be erased if you upgrade your iPhone to a new device, or if you restore it from backup.
I was expecting this software to be like the version on the palm. But I wasnt able to creat my own data base because it crashes everytime when I try to click on new item.
Works only sometimes. Often hangs opening a course(after last update). Sets huge periods between repetetitions, after you abandon the app for a month or so. As if big periods could help you restore normal pace after a long break.
